Quick Recap

This is the first of many posts about Anigav, my drag boat. Anigav is a 1970 Rayson Craft flat bottom V-Drive boat. When I first got sight of this boat it was painted with a nasty white base and blue/orange/yellow transitioning paint with "Big Daddy" painted on the deck. The seats were disgusting, and were rotting. One of the gas tanks had a leak and the boat smelled like gas and cat piss (it had been outside for 10 years). The guy that owned the boat didn't even know if it would float, but its a boat of course it would float. The engine that was in the boat was a 408 CI Ford big block. The engine was nasty, it idled rough and sounded like shit. The engine needed overhauled terribly bad, and it was built so badly that after a day of running the engine, it would need tuned again. We told the guy to keep the crappy motor, we just want the hull. We purchased the boat for $1,000, and once it is done it will be worth $30,000. One day while looking at some boats like ours built for racing I came with the crazy idea of racing our boat once it was built and done. So now we are going to build the boat with seats and interior room for 5-6 people to "cruise" around the lake for a day. Pull up to the beach and pop a few brews. But...the motor in this boat will make your stomach churn just looking at it. Were looking to put in a 575 big block Chevy bored out to maybe a 585 or a 602. Also were going to put the biggest supercharger possible on the engine. It will be sick. I will update in a few days, were in the process of finishing up sanding off the paint and fixing a mold. I will also upload pictures.
